Friday Night while Grandma and Grandpa were here, they took us all out to dinner.
Jim, remember the picky eater in the family... chose the Japanese steak house. As picky as he is, he loves their food. Maybe it has something to do with being able to see what they do to it??
(if that is it, he is welcome to come into my kitchen... I will put him to work, but he can see everything he eats up close and personal...he he he)

Who knew...
One of the funnies for the night is they asked (since we were such a big party) if we were celebrating a birthday? And since it was their sister Connie's birthday, they said yes, but were unsuccessful in communicating that the birthday girl was in Mexico!(yes gramps is good with chopsticks, but his Japanese is a little rusty)
So we got a piece of cheesecake with a candle and sang happy birthday to Connie! Lucille acted in proxy for her, and blew out the candle.
And we passed it around for everyone to have a bite!
It was a very fun dinner, with lots of good food, great family and what a way to top it off with birthday cheesecake!
