Getting Older, the aches and pains...

I guess I have been in hiding away from the blog this week. I think I am getting old and going down hill really fast! I pulled something in my back and it is giving me all kinds of trouble.
And I woke up with a gnarly cold sore... it is too ugly to post a picture, I took some, but it even grossed me out!
So I am really feeling like hibernating!
But I am fighting it off...
We did get to see Jim's sister and her husband for a quick minute as they were driving home from Arizona back to Washington.

We were so grateful they stopped for quick hugs on their way home... it was really good to see them. Sis about fell over when she saw how the teenager was towering over her now! It was fun!
The night before... my man and his friend got together for a jam session. It is nice he has someone he can play with... he has been looking for a while, the need to jam runs deep in his blood I suppose, because I could take this picture in the garage with the drum set and guitars and go back into my photo albums and find about 300 more to match it. Of course we all looked younger back then and didn't have aching backs or ugly faces. Ah the good ol' days!

This is me and the drummers wife... she is a good sport too!

They are both Oregon "Ducks", but we love them anyway (he he he).

"Quack, Quack, Quack"

And the teenager is still avoiding the camera, and has caught on to all my tricky moves... like this one, sitting the camera on the table and when he lets his guard down I tip it up and "snap a shot"... he is young and moves pretty quickly. He actually got his hand up from eating pizza at Costco quick enough to block this one! I figured he would be pretty distracted with PIZZA! not! His new nickname should be quick draw! And he never even missed a word... who knew he would be such a big chatter either... yak yak yak!

So even in hiding, I am still plugging along... but most importantly, staying out of trouble!

Baby Birds ~ More signs of spring...

I just thought this was the sweetest thing... these little birds had built their nests in this vendors sign. It was right above their door, so the adult birds were really on double duty having to leave and come back everytime the door openened.
I am always amazed at what amazing engineers they can be with such rudimentary tools and findings off the street.

"She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"...

Hit the play button while you read this post!
(sorry I moved the song to the bottom of my post)

Okay this song is just too funny... so I had to add it while I posted about our new purchase this weekend.

Spring is really trying to arrive here in Idaho... trying being the operative word!

When we bought our house it did not have sprinklers installed, they older man who lived here, enjoyed going out and moving sprinklers several times a day all spring and summer long to get his exercise.

And while I do need the exercise, it has not been my favorite activity to add to an already busy schedule, and installing a sprinkler system has not been on our list of priorities. So we just all complain allot about who's turn it is to go out and wrestle with the hoses, and move sprinklers or turn on/off the water.

Well we found this tractor that you hook up and set on your hose, and it travels around the path and waters the lawn and has an automatic shut off at the end.

You would not believe the excitement at our house, bringing this baby home and getting it set up. I love that it is a TRACTOR!

It is a little ironic, because we are such city folks, compared to most here in Idaho.

God bless who ever invented it... we might actually be able to bring our lawn back to life this year!

It has added a new element to bring is all closer together as a family, as we watch our tractor out of the window while she chugs along and we remain dry and at peace and harmony inside singing along to Kenny Chesney's words "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy".
