Christmas 2008

It has been hard to post... partly because of all the hustle and bustle, getting ready for Christmas. Trying to get out and around in the snow. Keeping secrets. Spending quality time with everyone. It's also emotional; missing other family far away, not being able to see everyone. Knowing that this time of year is not necesarily a happy one for everyone.

We are having a wonderful time with my family. It is great to have vacation time away from our everyday worries. Being cared for and loved by family. Lauging and crying together and at each other. But it is just going by way too fast!!

I have to cherish all of these precious moments... blogging will come later.

It's snowing on Christmas Day here!!! This will go down in history for sure!!!!

Snow play...

The big dogs were having so much fun playing out in the snow...

Morgan loved chasing snow balls, and the teenager thought it was funny to throw them into a deep pile of snow and watch her dive all the way in with her nose looking for it.
Rudy had just made enough of a trail to get out and do his business and get back inside to the warm cozy fire.

So my strong silent mysterious man thought he needed a little closer taste of the snow... and tossed him in a big ol' deep pile of it.

He made a resounding thug as his weight plummeted him to the bottom and his nose sticking out further than the rest of his body sunk him in head first... packing snow up into his nostrils.

How mean was that? He didn't realize it was that deep, so he said.... as he was laughing his head off at the sight!

It did leave a hilarious imprint of his body...

But still Rudy was much less impressed, and would not be playing anymore of these reindeer games in the snow! He was outta there!

Snow views...

We are getting so much snow here... it was a great day to watch the snow fall!

And everyone had to have a view...

It sure is beautiful here in the NW when it snows...

And Mount Rainier even made an appearance... I love my mountain!!!

Comfort and Joy...

Well it seems we are all settling in at Papa and Nene's house...

Morgan has found comfort and much joy in the toys Nene had stashed here for her...

My Strong Silent Mysterious Man found comfort and joy in the chair with the massage insert... one of his favorite things in the whole world!!!

The dogs are beginning to mind and stay on their blanket on que now... which gives me much comfort and joy!!
The teenager has found his comfort and joy in his favorite spot in the computer chair...

And the puppies... have the kitchen shifts all figured out, and have the local chefs number! They for sure aren't missing any meals or snacks on their holiday vacation.

Comfort and Joy all through the house!

Best foot forward...

Saturday, we went to get our feet all pretty and be pampered together.
(Lynn really didn't want her picture made... but she was a good sport anyway)

All these pretty toes, only to stuff them into our snow boots to go outside... I just couldn't do it.

When I have pneumonia on Christmas day, I will know for sure it was from my romp in the snow barefoot from the door to the car and from the car into the house.

They are just too pretty to mess up!

I vote for this to be an annual event!
So fun!!
