Grandpa got to take a quick tour and see where Jim is working, he is a retired engineer from Boeing, so he loved every minute getting so see all the big motors and equipment they use to work on them.
Then we picked up some of the "famous tacos" and took them to the park. It was nice to have some quiet time to visit with them alone. Jim didn't want to leave to go back to work.
Grandpa showed us the house where he lived when he was younger.
And the railroad track crossing where he was hit by the train.
I will try and get him to write the story down.... he has shown me pictures from when he was recovering from the accident... and now we have a picture of the tracks... so I think it will warrant an entire post with his story one of these days.It was so fun to hear him talk about that time in his life. He didn't remember the house being that small and it was white when they lived there. Can you imagine 12 children in this little thing?
.
It was a really nice afternoon with them.

What a nice visit! I can't believe 12 kids lived in that little house...just goes to show how lucky we are with all that we have!
Jack says that Fred was living in Lousiana at this time and Scott and Danny weren't born yet so only 9 kids there. Still with 2 parents made 11.
