Boys, boys, and more boys....

This weekend my Strong Silent Mysterious Man took his 12-13 year old scouts on a bike ride in preparation to their big 50 Mile Bike Ride coming up. Of course 2J's wants in on all the action with the younger boys. They were up early on Saturday, my plan was to sleep in, but there was so much commotion.. I had to get up and take pictures!

The bikes checked out OK...

Some of the boys were on time.... (it's still dark outside)

Some boys don't get out of bed before dark... but eventually they all made it over.
So my husband, their fearless leader gave them some rules and safety to follow....

And off they rode into the sunrise...

One of the Mom's drove the pilot truck, in case of illness, or accident (I am always thankful when they think safety 1st)
and she is totally a dog person and insisted Morgan go with her to keep her company.

I guess when they got to the stopping place for lunch, it was by the Snake River and Morgan got to go swimming! Her favorite!! The boys fed her banana's and parts of sammies and chips (nice well balanced dog lunch, Ugggg)...

And she was out like a light when they got back home...
It was a 39 mile trip this time, and both boys were pooped out, but loved every minute of it! Can't wait to do the 50 miles next.

I was reading one of my sis n laws blogs and she had a bunch of boys at her house camped out... I love those times, with a bunch of boys in the house! And 2J's hasn't had any over for a while, so I was really reveling in her joy...

Well, later on Saturday there was a meeting planned at our house...
and we got to have a pile of boys over! They worked on a communication merit badge and created a flyer for the cubs next Pack Meeting.

We made brownies for them, they played around for a while and then I got to send them home to their mothers to feed them dinner... it was fun, and really funny to listen to them talk when they didn't know I was listening. Hilarious!

Most of them catch on when there is a pile of shoes by the door, to take theirs off. Mom trained them well. But mind you, you have to weigh your options, dirty carpets, or stinky feet... cause trust me this many boy feet at one time in our little house... peeewwwwuuuu!

They worked well together... and got the job done.
Can you believe how many fit into this little tiny bedroom.
I left when they started the farting game....

They are all so different... some are into music and wanted my hubby to teach them some new riff's...

The rest played a game of football out in our culdesac... we don't have a bunch of kids on our block... so the neighbors must have thought it was an invasion.
But a good time was had by all...

I remember visiting another sis n laws when she had a bunch of teenagers in the house... and it seemed a little crazy to me. 2J's was really little then, so I was overwhelmed by the sight... and she said she loved having them at her house. That way she knew what they were doing, and what they talked about, and who they were with... it totally makes sense to me now, I love it when they are with us, stinky and all, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I will make up for all the boys, boys, boys this weekend... the girls are all coming to my house to stay over for the annual Womens Fitness Celebration 5k walk! Yippee! I can't wait!
