Go home day...

So I made it through the night, ha ha
Ironically everyone on staff that has come into my room, asks how did you sleep... knowing full well there was someone waking me up on the hour, every hour during the night.  Well not quite, but pretty darn close.
Pain is tolerable, up until now I have only felt the incision of the sight where they removed the old generator.   And honestly that felt like they had one of those boys in the O.R. stand in my chest and grab hold of it with a pair of pliers to get it out.  It's pretty sore.
But now I am starting to feel the new site too.
So much fun, but managable with Tylenol so far, so I am really happy about that!
So yeah, Mom insists I don't look that bad and HAVE to do a picture... uh okay now I know where I got it from :)  Paybacks right!
I met the rep from Medtronics and he confirmed calibration.
I met him in the O.R. but it was nice to actually see his face this time with no drape between us.
And I have had my xray, so the Dr. can make sure all the leads are in place too.

Ordered some food... you can get anything on the menu for the day, so I skipped the breakfast foods, just not much of a fan.  And if they had the same track record as the open faced dry turkey cardboard skip the mashed and run by the gravy boat at mach v so it doesn't touch the plate... then I really didn't want to experience their eggs.
So Lynn don't barf, but I ordered Salmon with an orange ginger sauce and tortellini pasta.
The chef totally redeemed himself.  It was really yummy!
I kind of don't really feel like a "cardiac" patient, but there are subtle reminders everywhere.
Like No salt, and No gravy, ha ha

I got to keep my old generator... to add to my collection.
The new one they say is about the size of a 50 cent piece... so they are definitely getting smaller all the time.  I am doing well and so grateful for all the love and support around me.
I have felt God's gentle blessing upon Jim and I both this week and I know he KNOWS us and LOVES us and has held our hands through this surgery and I will be back in the groove of everthing really soon.
Well minus cute hair for a bit while I am under the care of my strong silent myterious hair dresser,  ha ha.

Just waiting to hear from the Dr. that I can go home, no idea how long it takes to get checked out.  But as I can, I am outta here and back safe in my own home, with my puppies and some real food, maybe a slurpee on the way home, if I can talk Jim into stopping for me... wink, wink!!

You are good at keeping things quiet! I thought I'ld check in to see what the Dayley's are up to and I see that you're in the hospital(well, hopefully your home by now) - what a suprise. I am glad that everything went smoothly. That is so nice that your mom was able to be here too.
