Zion National Park...

Friday morning the boys got up early to play a round of golf.
Then when they got back to the house, we went to Zion National Park.
You can drive in and park and then ride the trams into the canyon of the park, and get off at any of the 8 or 10 stops to hike around and see different points of interest within the park.
We rode the tram into the furthest point at the park and then got off and walked up one of the main paved trails, and stopped at one of the museums along the way back.  Then drove the car up and through a mile long tunnel carved into the mountain and came back home.  It was a full day for all of us.
Jacob took some of these pics with his new camera... the best ones I have to admit are his.  This gives me great hope that he will send some neat pics home while he is on his mission.
He loves his camera, and it takes great pics.
We had a really fun day with Grandma and Granpa looking at the beautiful sights.

SLC to St George w/ a stop in Grantsville...

We left SLC for Grandma's house and made a quick stop in Grantsville.
Jacob's friend Christopher lives there.
Their birthdays are a day apart and they were baptized together when they were eight in Buckley Washington.
It was neat to see them again, it had been years.

While we were in Grantsville, we stopped at the cemetary to try and find some of Grandpa Dayleys relatives that were buried there.  It is the cutest town tucked in beside the mountains.
They called it a banana belt, and they don't get a ton of snow and are protected from the elements.
I would say it was one of the towns in Utah I felt like I could live in.
We didn't find Isabelle McBride, but this must be her sister... with the same story of her father being killed by the mobs at the Hann's Mill Masacre.

 The Great Salt Lake.

Getting close... everything starts to turn red rock.

We arrived in St. George... and met Jim's Mom and Dad at their home.  And his sister and her grandkids were there to swim.

They played some competitive ping pong.

We went back to Debbie's after Devin got home and played some games together and grilled hamburgers.

Then a little after dinner pickle ball.
Which we all loved and can't wait to find a place in our town to go play.

Stop off for the missionary...

We made a few stops to check out things for the missionary while we were in Utah.  One store seemed to have most what he needed, but we just didn't feel like they were going to fit him just right and we left with allot of questions.
Then we went to another store, also geared to outfit missionaries... and this guy knew his stuff.
We really felt like he knew how to fit our missionary with what he needed, and answered all of our questions.
Just a note if you are going to sell clothing to a missionary, don't tell the mother "that will probably work".  She wants to KNOW it is the right thing and you stand behind it.

They were efficient, and quick, but very thorough!
Just what the parents need.  Not allot of sales pitch and hype.

He even knew just how to help the missionary make some hard decisions... like what color of ties.
When you are standing and looking at a wall of ties, it can be overwhelming.
But he helped him narrow it down to a few and layed them by the suit, which made it super easy to say yes or no to each choice!
It was awesome!

It made something that was kind of difficult, so much better!

He is not ready to go yet, but well on his way with some of his clothing now!!
