Bountiful Baskets...

There is a fresh produce co-op in our area called Bountiful Baskets, you can go check it out here to see if there is one in your area, or learn how to start one.
.
I had known about it for a year now, but never participated because I didn't know if it was worth it or not? Didn't know if our family would eat that much produce in a week. And since my boys are so picky, I didn't know if we would get things they would like to eat.
But with the prices of groceries going up, up, up... I decided to try it one time and see.
I volunteered the first time, to try and learn as much as I could about it.
In this weeks basket I got pineapple (one extra for volunteering) tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, a bag of potatoes, lettuce, cauliflower, cantaloupe, mango's, apricots, apples, and bananas.
Everything has been sooo good, very fresh and it was definitely NOT too much for our family to eat, I could probably take out a basket by myself!
For $15.00 I felt like it was very much worth the money compared to what I would have gotten at the store for quantity and quality!!
I will for sure do this again... maybe not every week, but often.

I have been wanting to try this for awhile too but haven't yet. I live with the WORST veggie/fruit eater ever, he's allergic to most fruits and just plain doesn't like veggies --grrr. Although I just realized I could probably puree and freeze a lot of it for Cami's food!

I have done this a couple times as well and both times have felt it was very worth the money and a great idea.
